Summit Point, WV – The F1600 Formula F Championship Series produced another thrilling, shoot-out of a race at Summit Point with the top four cars trading the lead back and forth throughout the 20-lap event. Finnish driver Matias Koykka came out on top, inheriting the lead and first place in the points standings when the leaders made contact on the last lap in his Spectrum/Honda for Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing. Garett Grist came home from the last lap drama in second, with teammate Brandon Newey rounding off the podium.

Summit Point, WV – Brandon Newey grabbed the F1600 Formula F Championship Series pole at Summit Point Motorsports Park by just two thousandths of a second over his Bryan Herta Autosport with Curb/ Agajanian teammate of Garett Grist. Newey, the Championship leader, extends his points margin over Matias Koykka from eight to 11 with three bonus points for pole in his Mygale/Honda. Shae Davies, who has won three of the last four races, followed in third position.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (August 2, 2012) – Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing picked up another F1600 Formula F Championship Series with Shae Davies’ win in Round 8 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The win for Davies, his third in four races, brings the team’s total to five wins this season.
