Lexington, OH – Australian Shae Davies drove to victory in another multi-car 18-lap battle at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course to close the doubleheader weekend and round eight of the 2012 F1600 Formula F Championship Series season. The race, similar to Saturday’s shootout, saw the top five cars break away from the field and jockey for position for the entire race, with Davies coming out on top for Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing ahead of Garett Grist and Matias Koykka.

Lexington, OH – After 18 laps of five cars trading the top five spots back and forth, Colin Thompson vaulted from fourth to first with two laps to go, scoring his first career F1600 Formula F Championship Series win at Mid-Ohio. Better yet, the hotly-contested top five battle featured three different chassis and five aspiring drivers, the oldest of which was 22. Teammates Matias Koykka and Shae Davies completed the podium.

Lexington, OH – After two F1600 Formula F Championship Series practice sessions at Mid-Ohio, it was the Spectrum/Honda Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing duo of Matias Koykka and Shae Davies at the top of the time sheets in a fast morning session. In a slower afternoon session, however, it was Championship leader Brandon Newey on top for Bryan Herta Autosport with Curb/ Agajanian in the Mygale/Honda.
