Alamonte Springs, FL – Black Watch Racing Group has announced that it will contest the 12-round, six-weekend 2012 F1600 Formula F Championship Series season with a pair of Van Diemen/Hondas. The team is a newcomer to the F1600 Series, but ran a SCCA Formula F program in 2011, including an entry at the National Championship Runoffs.

Sharon, CT – Following a successful inaugural 10-race run in 2011, the F1600 Formula F Championship Series will keep the momentum, expanding to 14 races in 2012, over seven double-race weekends. The Formula F cars will start the year in April at VIRginia International Raceway, then it’s Road Atlanta, followed by Memorial Day weekend at Lime Rock Park, supporting ARCA at New Jersey Motorsports Park in late June, and then onto Mid-Ohio in late July, followed by Summit Point in August and the season finale at Watkins Glen International in October.

Following a race win and a third place finish in the inaugural F1600 Formula F Championship Series standings, Jim Goughary, driver of the No. 7 Piper/Honda for Raceworks, has donated his Championship check to SOS Children’s Villages, the official charity of F1600.
