FRP is rejoining SCCA Pro Racing.  The roots of FRP are with SCCA, and new opportunities will present themselves.  Like Trans Am, one FRP weekend will count towards Runoffs qualification.  There will be some general integration with other run groups connected to Pro Racing; this will strengthen FRP’s position with the tracks and help defray the continued rising costs of track rental.  There will be access to Pro’s media outlets, and eventually a seamless onlineevent registration.

The new Series radio sponsor is Speedcom, utilizing digital radios.  Speedcom will offer a trade-in policy for analog radios towards new Motorola CP200D radios, trade-in value based on the radio condition.  Analog radios will continue to be usable to monitor race control, but it is the intention to have the paddock all digital within a couple of years. There are many advantages to the digital platform both for the Series and the competitor, the least of which is far better communication.Speedcom intends to be in the paddock for service and parts atmost of our events.

As we did last year, we intent to designate January as rules review month; everyone is invited to submit suggestions to make our rules package better for 2019.  In the interest of consistency, our intent is not to change any rules during the season (although we reserve the right to do so, as always).

Registration: We are holding entry fees the same as last year, and we will open a window for a discounted full series F2000 and F1600 entry in late January. Details and entry instructions will follow.
