Yuven Sundaramoorthy came out of his sophomore F1600 Championship Series campaign with a third-place Championship result for K-Hill Motorsports, backed up by multiple race wins and podium after podium finish in the No. 13 Mygale/Honda.
F1600 race winner Colin Mullan, from Danville, Calif., and Jake Craig, from Mission Viejo, Calif., will carry the patriotic and distinctive Team USA Scholarship colors in a trio of Formula Ford race weekends in England beginning later this month. Braden Eves, from New Albany, Ohio, was initially selected as a Scholarship winner before requiring some surgery which will preclude him from accepting the opportunity.
Putting together a six-weekend F1600 Championship Series program, Charles Anti ran his Van Diemen/Honda out of a smaller trailer with his father over the course of the 2018 F1600 season.
Millville, NJ – The 2018 F1600 Championship Series season came down to the last race as Dario Cangialosi clinched the title for K-Hill Motorsports despite opening lap contact by finishing fourth at New Jersey Motorsports Park in a thrilling Championship finale. Tyler O’Connor took the race win in the 21st and final round of the season ahead of Yuven Sundaramoorthy and Nicky Hays. Cangialosi overcame a first-lap excursion off the race track to win the Championship.
Millville, NJ - Tyler O’Connor took the win in round 20 of the 2018 F1600 Championship Series season on Sunday morning at New Jersey Motorsports Park. The all green flag race came down to the final laps between championship contenders, with O’Conner gaining eight key points back on points leader Dario Cangialosi who finished second behind his K-Hill Motorsports teammate in a thrilling race. Saturday winner Nicky Hays was third. One 19-lap race remains in the season to decide the title.
Millville, NJ – Nicky Hays took a convincing victory in round 19 of the F1600 Championship Series season at New Jersey Motorsports Park’s Thunderbolt circuit. Hays led flag-to-flag in the Team Pelfrey Mygale in a clean, all-green-flag race, as he broke the draft and assembled a massive lead to win his first F1600 race. Tyler O’Connor passed points leader Dario Cangialosi on the last lap to take second place, gaining a few points back on his Championship rival as the K-Hill teammates finished second and third. Fellow Championship contender Yuven Sundaramoorthy was fourth.
Millville, NJ – Tyler O’Connor backed up his morning practice pace from New Jersey Motorsports Park to convert his speed into a pole position for round 19 of the 2018 F1600 Championship Series season. More importantly, the title-contender gains three points toward tracking down his two teammates for the Championship in the season finale weekend. Six finalists for this year’s coveted Team USA Scholarships will convene this week at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis., for a two-day shootout. Five of six have raced in F1600 Series competition this year and four of the six are F1600 race winners.
They are: Dario Cangialosi, Tyler O'Connor, Braden Eves, Colin Mullan and Nicky Hays.
Summit Point, WV – Colin Mullan made it two wins in three starts with a Sunday afternoon victory at Summit Point to close out his debut weekend in F1600 Championship Series competition. Across three all-green-flag F1600 races, the Rice Race Prep driver led the most laps and dominated the competition. Mullan took the round 18 victory ahead of Christian Lall Dass and Nicky Hays.
Summit Point, WV – Colin Mullan continued his impressive pace in his F1600 Championship Series debut weekend, taking the win on Saturday evening for Rice Race Prep at Summit Point in round 17 of the 2018 F1600 season in yet another all-green flag 21-lap race. The second place battle came down to the wire after a thrilling late race battle as Nicky Hays scored the runner-up result in his F1600 debut weekend for Team Pelfrey after a duel with Christian Lall Dass, who finished sixth. A second Team Pelfrey entry for Joey Essma finished third.
Summit Point, WV – After 24 action packed green flag laps around Summit Point, the margin of victory was just .090 seconds as K-Hill Motorsports driver Dario Cangialosi narrowly beat Christan Lall Dass and his Piper/Ford to the checkered flag, with Tyler O'Connor and Collin Mullan in close pursuit in round 16 of the 2018 F1600 Championship Series season.
Summit Point, WV - F1600 Championship Series points leader Dario Cangialosi wasted no time at Summit Point on Friday, rocketing to pole position and key bonus points ahead of rivals and K-Hill teammates Tyler O'Connor and Yuven Sundaramoorthy. Pittsburgh, PA – Team Pelfrey driver Courtney Crone has been released from the hospital in good spirits and is already looking to get back behind the wheel following an early race incident in round 15 of the 2018 F1600 Championship Series season on Sunday, August 5.
Formula Race Promotions officials can report that the driver involved in an early race incident during round 15 of the 2018 F1600 Championship Series season has been released from a hospital in Pittsburgh.
Despite minor bumps and bruises, the driver is in good spirits and on the way home.

Wampum, PA – Formula Race Promotions officials cancelled round 15 of the 2018 season taking place at Pittsburgh International Race Complex following an incident early in the race. The race was declared a non-race; the decision not to restart was made in the interest of safety. More information will be released as it becomes available.
Wampum, PA – A daring last lap pass by Tyler O’Connor saw him barely beat Braden Eves to the checkered flag, taking the victory in the second of three F1600 races at Pittsburgh International Race Complex during the Keystone Speedfest. The margin of victory was just .060 seconds after 14 action-packed green-flag laps around the 2.8-mile course. Championship leader Dario Cangialosi finished third.

Lexington, OH – Yuven Sundaramoorthy scored the win at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in the second of three F1600 Championship Series races of the weekend for K-Hill Motorsports. Another all-green-flag race came down to again to the final moments with Sundaramoorthy beating out teammate Dario Cangialosi to the checkered flag by .143 seconds as Joe Colasacco finished a strong third place to take the Masters Class win for Auriana Racing.
Lexington, OH – Round 10 of the 2018 F1600 Championship Series came down to the final lap on Saturday afternoon at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, with Tyler O’Connor passing teammate Yuven Sundaramoorthy to win by just over two tenths of a second for K-Hill Motorsports. Christian Lall Dass finished third to score his best result year in F1600 competition after a 18-lap all-green-flag race with multiple lead changes in hot conditions.

Alton, VA – It was Dario Cangialosi excelling in tricky wet conditions to take the win at VIR in a race that started dry and saw the skies open as teams had to execute pitstops for the second time on Saturday at VIR. K-Hill’s Cangialosi won a dramatic race ahead of Joey Essma and Sam Lockwood in third, who won the Masters Class with his best career finish to date for Raceworks.
Alton, VA – Eliminating a 41 second gap to the leaders, Joey Essma used a late decision to go to rain tires to his advantage to win in the F1600 Championship Series in mixed conditions at VIR on Saturday morning. Taking the victory on Saturday morning in round seven of the 2018 season, Essma triumphed over Dario Cangialosi and points leader Tyler O'Connor.

Challenging conditions saw the Team Pelfrey driver lead a number of laps, and win just by under a second over K-Hill pairing Tyler O’Connor, coming off two wins, and Dario Cangialosi, who led a chunk of the race. Scott Rubenzer swept the Masters Class with three wins on the day.
