Wampum, PA - Jonathan Kotyk won the third and final F1600 Championship Series race of the Pittsburgh International Race Complex weekend, taking the victory by just .034 seconds on the newly-paved 19-turn road course to complete a weekend sweep with three wins in three races for Team Pelfrey. Kotyk led an all Pelfrey Mygale/Honda top three with teammates Matthew Cowley and David Osborne completing the podium. Joel Haas won the Masters Class.

Kotyk Beats Cowley to the Line

Wampum, PA - Team Pelfrey's Jonathan Kotyk, a Team USA Scholarship candidate, doubled up on Sunday morning at Pittsburgh International Race Complex, taking his second win of the weekend in F1600 Championship Series competition. Kotyk fought off his teammate on the 16th and final lap, beating points leader Matthew Cowley to the line by .054 seconds in a photo finish. Zach Holden, from K-Hill Motorsports, completed the podium while Mike Scanlan won in the Masters Class.

Wampum, PA - The first of three F1600 Championship Series races at Pittsburgh International Race Complex was won by Team USA Scholarship candidate Jonathan Kotyk on a near perfect Saturday afternoon at the high-speed 19-turn road course. Kotyk, driving the No. 81 Team Pelfrey Mygale/Honda, held off Zach Holden with two corners to go, with Holden trying an outside move for the race lead. The K-Hill driver would go on to finish second, while points leader Matthew Cowley brought the No. 80 Team Pelfrey car home in third and Mike Scanlan won the Masters Class.

Holden Rebounds for Mid-Ohio Victory

Zach Holden LeadsLexington, OH - Zach Holden went from third to first on the last lap to take his third win of the season in the No. 96 K-Hill Motorsports Mygale/Honda in round 11 of the 2017 F1600 Championship Series season. Holden rebounded for the win at Mid-Ohio after failing to finish in the first two races of the weekend, taking the victory in the 18-lap race ahead of the Team Pelfrey duo of Jonathan Kotyk and Matthew Cowley. Another Mygale/Honda driven by K-Hill's Tonis Kasemets charged from last to fourth to win the Masters Class, with Cliff Johnson second and Scott Rubenzer third.

David OsborneLexington, OH - David Osborne scored his first ever F1600 Championship Series victory with a win on Sunday morning at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in round 10 of the 2017 season for Team Pelfrey. Osborne beat teammate Jonathan Kotyk to the line in a tight finish, while Chris Horan scored his first ever podium finish in Series competition with a third place result. Cliff Johnson won the Masters Class ahead of Scott Rubenzer and Joel Haas.

Portante Scores Race One Pole

Peter PortanteAlton, VA - Three bonus points available for qualifying on pole for round 19 of the F1600 Formula F Championship Series went to K-Hill Motorsports drive Peter Portante, who set the fastest lap during the 30-minute session at VIR at 1:59.104. Another 30-minute qualifying session follows at 5:00 p.m. local time, with both sessions combining best times to set the grid for positions two and beyond. The race is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. local time, the first of three for the weekend at VIR.

Verhagen Sweeps Sunday

b_200_150_16777215_00_images_stories_15season_njmp_nv3.jpgMillville, NJ - Round 18 of the 2016 F1600 Formula F Championship Series season saw Neil Verhagen double up, winning his second race of the day by .011 seconds for K-Hill Motorsports. It was a similar story to the morning race as he beat out teammate Peter Portante to the finish line after a race run under full green flag conditions. Phillippe Denes finished third in a Team Pelfrey Mygale.

Last to First for Verhagen at NJMP

Teammate Peter Portante finished second while Saturday winner Calvin Ming was third for Team Pelfrey.

Verhagen Scores Another Close Win

Verhagen took his second win in a row at Pittsburgh for K-Hill Motorsports, with Ming finishing second for Team Pelfrey and Peter Portante in third in another K-Hill entry.
